DREMEL EXPANDS TOOL FAMILY TO INCLUDE GLUE GUN

Advanced Features Make Projects Easy

MT. PROSPECT, Ill., May 11, 2006 —The new Dremel Glue Gun offers the same high quality and insightful product design as Dremel rotary tools with advanced features that make at-home projects easy and fun. The Dremel Glue Gun is loaded with practical features, making hands-on craft and DIY projects rewarding. For moms, dads, and crafty kids to DIYer’s and woodworkers, the Dremel Glue Gun is a dream come true.

“We’re excited to expand the Dremel family with a tool like the Dremel Glue Gun,” said Andrea Ash, Dremel director of marketing communications. “We've talked to consumers to find out what they wanted from their glue gun tool. The Dremel Glue Gun was designed to meet their needs, while making crafts, hobbies and every day projects family-friendly and easy.”

The Dremel Glue Gun is outfitted with green and red LED lights to clearly indicate when the tool is “heating up” and “ready to use.” The Dremel Glue Gun also features an anti-drip tip to reduce glue drips and a silicon safety sleeve over the nozzle to prevent accidental burns.

Unlike some traditional glue guns, the Dremel Glue Gun features an ideally located on/off switch at the top of the tool, which allows the user to turn off the tool without having to unplug it. Also equipped with dual-temperature settings, the Dremel Glue Gun can heat glue sticks with varying melting points and accept glue sticks between .44 inches and .45 inches in diameter. For added control and comfort, the Dremel Glue Gun has an extended trigger with enough room for three fingers.

The Dremel Glue Gun has a broad base and one-touch kickstand providing the user with optimal stability. A work light is positioned directly under the glue tip to illuminate the work area and small project details.

From youth school projects to crafty centerpieces and simple home repair, the Dremel Glue Gun is ideal for hands-on tasks. Complete with three nozzles (one fine, one standard and one wide) and six dual-temperature glue sticks, the Dremel Glue Gun retails for $24.99, and includes a two-year limited warranty. It is available at most hardware and home improvement centers nationwide beginning June 2006.
