What’s Your Project?
Cleaning Clogged Gutters

Cleaning Clogged Gutters

As seasons change, your home’s gutters can get clogged with leaves, pinecones, shingle grit, and twigs. When this happens, sludge builds up inside, which means water can’t be moved away from your home leading to damage. What’s more, clogged gutters pose a fire risk and make ideal nesting sites for insects, birds and vermin.

With the help of a Dremel high-speed rotary tool such as the Dremel 8220 or Dremel 4200, replacing gutter guards and downspouts is easy. We’ve teamed up with The Home Depot to show you step-by-step how to solve this problem, and others, through What’s Your Project, a website dedicated to helping you with your home repairs. If you run into trouble along the way, just Skype, call or email our project experts who will get you back on track. So before the leaves start falling, get outside and inspect your downspouts and gutters to make sure they’re free and clear. Your home will thank you.

Projects ‘Made by Moto-Saw™’

We asked some of our favorite DIY and craft bloggers to create projects using the Dremel Moto-Saw. This week, we’re featuring Ashley Hackshaw’s super-fun (and realistic) Wooden Toy Camera! Ashley loved how easy the Moto-Saw was to set-up, and that it only took minutes to pack it up until her next project.

For a step-by-step project tutorial, head over to Ashley’s blog, Lil Blue Boo.

Special thanks to all who participated in our ‘Made by Moto-Saw’ challenge! Stay tuned next month, as we feature another exciting Moto-Saw project!
